This is my homage to one of my favourite games, and my favourite franchise in fiction - Alien Isolation.

What initially started out as just one single corridor ended up getting scoped to death as a means of learning lots of different little things, or re-learning things I haven't done for a while being primarily a weapon artist by trade. Rather than try to make it look like something that's coming out now I've tried to make it a bit more faithful to the 2014 game.

Modular pieces are done utilising tileables in engine along with a FWN workflow, this is also true for some of the larger assets like the desks, doors and so on. Smaller props are uniquely baked, and I created a library of materials in Substance to use to tie stuff together.

The screens are Flipbook animations I created myself using reference from Alien Artwork books as well as the Isolation game, I made these in Affinity Photo and then set them up in Unreal.
The planet shader uses NASA scans of Jupiters surface which I also tweaked in Affinity and then created a cloud/atmosphere texture to set up as a panning texture.

Models all done in Blender, textures a combination of Painter/Designer/Affinity Photo & Designer or just Shaders done in Unreal. Final renders done in Unreal Engine 5, par the last image which was done in Marmoset.
